Contract ending, off-contract recommendations

Hi guys,

My vodafone contract is finally coming to an end and I'm looking for some recommendations from the community for any better options out there.

I'm currently paying $33/month and getting $180 of calls/text and 900MB of data.
I have never gone over this in the 24 months I've had it, but I'd like to get more data at least if possible.

I haven't had any huge issues with vodafone, but I'm thinking moving to the Telstra network would be better.

Does anyone have any recommendations for either a similar deal for less, or the same cost for more?

Or am I better off just sticking with what I have?

Cheers

  • Telechoice and Boost use Telstra 3G network. Boost is prepaid. $40 a month is the minimum though for Boost.

    • Thanks, I'll look into those.

  • +1

Have you looked at yatango mobile (www.yatangomobile.com.au). The price is similar if you want the same data/voice usage but the benefit is that they allow you to adjust your usage monthly with no charge.

I use it as a $0 plan and just pay for usage at the end of the month since we do not make many calls and mostly use wifi.

They use the optus network so you need to decide if that is suitable.

They also offer a bonus if your friends sign up. "Earn $20 Yatango credit for every friend & family member you bring onto Yatango"

    • Thanks. 30 free trial is quite tempting as well to know what plan would suit.

  • Vaya - $18 plan.

  • I think I'll go for the yatango free trial and see how the optus network is in my area, then I'll make a better decision between optus or telstra providers.
