Which is the cheapest place to buy AppleCare for my Macbook Pro 15" retina. 389$ at the Apple Store and most other places seems quite dear. Is ebay reliable.

Check with them that this covers a MacBook Pro 15in Retina and then buy it and register it before your first year of ownership is up.Some guy is selling for $290 on MacTalk.
This is his website I believe - http://www.bennylingbling.com/contact/
eBay item number:
321285906777I bought from this seller. no issue at all
For the OP's convenience the new item number is 321291362142. I know the guy - it's me! - you can PM me if you have any questions. Yes, all items are genuine, and purchased through Authorised Apple Reseller Designwyse, which has been taken over by Computers Now.
Jb hifi or any reseller will make a discount on the apple care. I had the apple care for my iPad for $30 instead of $99.
I sell the Apple Care for $280

Is that you selling it on gumtree too?
Is there any way of getting an invoice on it? I need an invoice on itYes it's still me, I am able to sell cheaper on Gumtree because of lower selling fees (eBay plus PayPal is about 12.5% !!!). I am not set up as a retail business, but I can certainly provide a receipt as I have done for others similar to "Received on <date> from <name> Is the sum of <amount> for the purchase of <item description>. <Seller: details>." Would that be acceptable?
Thanks for the info. Any other day I would have got it from you, but just had a nice deal on HN and went with AppleCare from them
I got it with my pro at HN for 300$
Overall happy with what I got as it was from a Brick and Mortar store with a tax invoice.
Now wondering if the GST on this is claimable when I go abroad next month. No problem at all, it's good that you're happy with your deal. The Australian Business Traveller spells out fairly clearly how to claim with the Tourist Refund Scheme — http://www.ausbt.com.au/travel-trip-how-to-claim-the-trs-air… or you can get it straight from the ATO — http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4646.asp
ebay for sure!
