  • ? where to buy champ?

  • +9

For that price I'd want to be sure it's just as good on the ascent as it is on the descent.

  • Pretty good spec at this price.

    But no pedals :)

    • If it came with pedals, No one would use them anyway. everyone prefers a different kind of cleat setup so they won't waste money giving people pedals they wont use. Also won't stop people from buying a bike, So they save money and don't risk people not buying it

    • Never fails to get a bite

  • link in the description
    :D

  • Good deal for a good bike

  • +1

    No pedals :(

    • +2

How about I buy you a pair, then you won't have to worry and you can buy the bike?

    • As has been discussed here many times, the higher end bikes do not come with pedals, or if they do they are cheap and nasty get-you-home pedals.

Or you're joking and looking to catch folks out :-)

      • jv you've done it again!

      • He obviously has no knowledge of high end bikes. As you said, looking to catch folks out. Lol XD

  • I haven't bought for these guys before, they seem to be based in Hong Kong. So is this where they ship from or do they have a warehouse in Australia? If this comes from Hong Kong then I assume you need to allow for import duty and GST which will push bike this up a reasonable amount.

    • I don't think the bikes are sent from Hong Kong, They may import shipments of containers from there.
But it would be very inefficient and costs a lot to post a bike from there

      • Yup, I'm with you there. Just trying to understand if the site is like Wiggle or ProBikeKit which will send you a bike but you have to pay the GST and duty. Their FAQ doesn't seem to answer it (unless I missed it).

        • It says up in the top left corner that there's no extra international tax/duty to be paid.

Not a bad deal, but it comes with a very entry level wheelset and is the old 10sp Ultegra Di2, as opposed to, say, the Cell's 11sp Ultegra Di2 and better wheels. That said, Bianchi is a brand with a lot of history behind it and make very nice looking bikes. How the frame compares to the Cell it's very difficult to say for sure.

        • Thanks, totally missed that. I had my man eyes on.

    • Their online shop is based in Hong Kong and ships from Hong Kong. However, they do have some local shops here as well.

  • I'd take the omeo offering from cell bikes - it's 6800 ultegra (i.e. 11 speed, latest generation) and without even looking at the omeo it has better wheels than the bianchi (rs10s won't last very long if you weigh over 80kgs)

and race geometry with a compact crank WTF?

    • You would? that's one fugly bike upon close inspection. Sort of like a mesh btw a BMC and a Cervelo and then hit with an ugly bat.

This my friend is a Bianchi, forever desirable.

  • Mmmm, a Giant or this…

    • +1

Got a Giant, love it. Bang for buck is hard to beat. If you wait, you can often get the TCR or Defy advanced 0 (i.e. di2) on special for around this price …

      • Don't get a dually mtb though, hate their maestro design and you'll wear through pivot bearings like no tomorrow

Wiggle also has a sale on this bike:
    http://www.wiggle.com.au/bianchi-b4p-sempre-ultegra-10-spd/
    $2,853.53

    • might be diff model though

      • and this will be subject to GST and duty so wouldn't be cheaper in the end.

      • List price $4,258.98
        SAVE 33% = $1,405.45
Might be the same on wiggle

        • In my experience wiggle cahrge like $300 for shipping

  • I will swap my car with you for this.

  • Love to know how these guys are dodging customs, as I have seen several orders bought into my retail shop shipped from Hong Kong, doing the dodgy invoice?

  • why not just link directly to their website?

    good deal though.

  • Shipping kills it.

  • Good deal for what looks like a nice bike. These guys have a B&M shop in Bayswater Melb. I have been to their store and have bought some jerseys and lights from them in the past, all good. They have their own line of bikes like Cell and Polygon etc called both Verite and Azzuri.

They regularly have 10% off codes, I used the code BNA a week or so ago but I would look around to see if there was a current code could be worth hundreds at checkout.

  • I think you will find that they sold the retail store and the online store is now a separate entity.

Read about some of their questionable practices here- http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=41579&…

    • Must have been a recent sale, I was in there in December, I work about 1Km from it in Bayswater Vic

  • I may be wrong. Maybe it's the other way around. Ie; they sold the website and kept the retail store

  • Saw an advert on another site, apparently code 'BAA' gets you an additional 10% off

  • Hey Guys. I just got this bike for $2519.10 + $59 shipping. The price has dropped to $2799 and I used the 10% off promo code BAA (thanks 2nd effort) to bring it down to $2519.10. This bike is a steal for that price.
