This is the top of the line model Nespresso Gran Maestria. Buying this model will NOT inherently produce better coffee than a lower tier model. I have the Citiz model purchased in 2008 am happy with the quality of the coffee; the aeroccino (milk frother) has some issues with the non-stick coating being defective after 2-3 years. Overall a good machine that has gone through at at least 1500 pods.

Why chose the Gran Maestrio over Latissima or lower end models?
Latissima - Most days, I am the sole user of the machine, and I usually drink espresso. I also do not like the milk frother. In my opinion, the texture is too light and I feel it slightly burns the milk.
Lower end models - If I have milk with my coffee, it is a flat white. Only the aeroccino 4 produces the milk consistency for that. Other than that, it is the aesthetics and the build quality. The descaling sensor on the gran maestrio is unnecessary.

Overall, I like this machine for the reasons specified and also for it's intangible qualities, ie looks and feel. The price is the best I have seen. Stock is pretty hard to come by as this model does not move very well.
