What happened to the [video card] deal category?

That was my most-used category, looks like it got lost in the category shuffle about a month back…?

Video Card has never been a category. It's a tag:

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/video-card

It's a "product category" tag so it gets added to the header of the page if the deal contains a product that is of that category.

    Pretty much so. Mods & power users do scan through current deals and tag them appropriately every now and then.
