Cheap Shoes for Sailing? Need non-marking grip on hard flat surfaces. Indoor Football/Soccer/Futsal Boots or Tennis Shoes?

I need some cheap shoes for sailing. My budget is $40 but preferably less. I've previously used Dunlop Volleys but they don't make these like they used to, the quality is very poor and they are made too narrow for my feet. I need a comfortable shoe with a non-marking sole which will provide grip on a hard flat surface. Indoor Football/Soccer/Futsal Boots look like they might work well but are they comfortable to wear all day?

So where should I look for some cheap Indoor Football/Soccer/Futsal Boots, Tennis Shoes or other shoes which fulfill those requirements?

Thank you.

Did you fall overboard in the Sydney to Hobart this year?

i've heard these are pretty good.

    • No, I haven't fallen overboard yet. Have you?

Those would be ideal but the cost is too high, especially with postage from USA.

I'm a sailor - and these would be fine for $5:

    • Wow, great price! I'm not sure how well slip-ons would fair or if they'd be comfortable for all day wear with my wide feet. I'd probably try one of their pairs with laces.

But I still prefer the sports shoe style of indoor shoes given that I need them to wear around town afterwards.

  • These look like good value: http://www.burkemarine.com.au/product.php?prod_id=135

But they might look ugly and be inappropriate for walking around ashore before and afterwards. That's why I'm looking at indoor shoes as they can pass for fancy running shoes or casual sneakers.

  • K-mart have their own version of Volleys which are awesome, you can pick them up for $10 or less

  • Try Rivers outlet store.
