Agreed. Terrible Japanese and not only that, they are so overpriced for what it is!
Tried to use a similar deal in Melbourne city. Deal was refused because I took my 4 year old son (who loves their salmon!). Manager refused to honour the deal - she claimed "2 adults only" and no takeaways (since there was a half portion of my noodles left over which she would rather bin). No Wagamama for me again - many more good Japanese places.
I live nearby, have been there a few times and the meals have always been excellent.
This is a great deal.
Just got back from taking advantage of this deal. Had a very good Chicken Kare Lomen, my mate had some Yaki Soba, both great, discount worked a treat.
One of my friends has been wanting to go to this place for some time. Might go with him and check it out
Not the most exciting/flavoursome food in the world, but nice if you want something subtle I guess.
2 for 1 is good value, but I wouldn't go without the coupon.

I actually agree in this sense.
For example, Taka's in Perth CBD are better value.
But Subi Wagamam's provides a better atmosphere, decor and service, which, like it or not, is worth more than the counter-order and plastic table/chair option of Taka's. The fact that it's easy to get free parking after 6pm at Subi adds to this value (where in the city near Taka's this is much tougher).
I love Taka's, don't get me wrong, but Subi Waga's is great value in terms of service, atmosphere and value.
