Deluxe Handheld Massager Delivered $35 (RRP $99) @ Kogan

80

I have been testing this device in HN and Myer, it is great. In these shops it is sold as the Breuer MG70, Yesterday it was $99 @ HN down from $129.

A review of the two modes of operation can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cikgPllv_ug

I did not want to pay $99 but fortunately Kogan's Boxing Day sale provided the solution. I found a product that looks exactly the same down from $99 to $35. It is not branded as Breuer but I took the risk: most likely is fabricated in the very same Chinese factory. This product is sold on ebay for $90 which is consistent with Kogan's RRP of $99.

See also the $99 Breuer (same?) device in HN:

Similarly, the Neck and Shoulder massager, see video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TCHz3zXdH8 (( which is $89.95 on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/281114032472 )) is now on sale at Kogan. Delivered for $39 deal link:

Savings are (in theory) less for this product because Kogan's former RRP is $59.

In my case I had liked these two products when I tested them in HN (a very similar to the later was branded as Homedics) so I went ahead with both Kogan's offers.

I can't watch that youtube link without laughing at almost every sentence.

The internet really has destroyed my mind.

  • Is anyone else seeing that outrageous massage chair in the Google sponsored ad section on this page? Would like to know how many were chasing a $35 massager and proceeded to purchase the $3.5k chair.

title should read: Deluxe Handheld "Massager"

    • No, it should not. The product IS a handheld massager. If you don't believe me look it up for example in amazon.com: there are dozens of handheld massagers similar to this one.

      • yeah but you have completely missed the point.
It's a "massager" for those ladies too timid to visit sexyland.

If you don't believe me, show your wife this thing and watch her eyes light up with possibilities…

You underestimate people's need for conventional massages, maybe you are still on your teens.

main concern is unit bulky and heavy, after fixing your back you need to fix your arm

I tested it. This is a German design, they are not dumb: they have managed to enhance the massage effectiveness putting as little weight as possible. It is not light but most people should be able to use it without issues. However, specially for your back, it is always better to have assistance from a partner.

i bought this from priceline 4 yrs ago at only 15 bucks, very well made. oops wrong vote.

    • $15 sounds as nearly impossible to get these days as RRP is around $90. In any case, if after 4 years (of heavy usage ?) is still working then the quality is worth $35 (delivered).

      • Mine is a generic I think, brand is "Massage Sensations" SGSEA/070072 made in china. The box is exactly the same as the one here. http://wochuan.en.made-in-china.com/product/ZMAEXPdoyjRO/Chi…. I use it for my neck tension migraine average once or twice a month so wouldn't call it heavy use, but 4 yrs is a good run, the infrared is amazing. I agree with you on the $35 as it's pretty well made (heavy though), although I wouldn't pay more.
