    It depends on what u want use it for, Gaming or Work? Try the Dell clearence centre they do refurbs for half the price of brand new. Refurbs often have very small issues when they come back to the manufacturer.
    Brand new laptops you should get an i3 for $600
    i5 is better obviously, but will reduce battery life.

    It depends on your needs

    thanks but would like to stay away from Acer if possible I will consider as last resort
