What could you use this for without a proper handle? A mixing bowl?

It has 2 handles just like any big and heavy wok or pot.

Yes, I know what a wok is and am more familiar with the stick handle types (apparently used in Northern China, vs the 2 handle rings in Southern China).

I suppose for that size, a stick handle would be too heavy. But how do you toss the things in the wok with two handles?

Well, I reckon you hold one handle whilst cooking and tossing, but as this one seems to be heavy, you'd need 2 handles to safely move to say the table.
