Target has partnered with St John to sponsor and deliver free kids first aid training courses to Target customers nationally.
How do I enrol in a course?
Customers can ring St John direct on 1300 106 499. A St John representative will advise which stores in your area are holding courses and confirm your booking.
What sort of training is it?
The training provides parents and carers with information and guidance to prevent injury to children as well as giving the knowledge and skills required to provide basic first aid and emergency care for children aged 0–12 years.
How much does it cost?
It’s free. The course usually costs $125 per person however Target is paying St John on behalf of our customers.
How long is the course?
It is a 4 hour course which includes a light lunch.
Can I bring the kids?
Due to the content and duration of the course and the restricted space at some stores, unfortunately children are not permitted to attend.
Are all stores holding courses?
Target plans to conduct approximately 100 courses in selected Target and Target Country stores across Australia in the coming 12 months. Courses for Victoria and NSW will commence in June with the other states to follow from August 2009.
How many people can attend a course?
Course numbers are limited to the first 20 people to enrol.
What if I miss out?
If the course in your local area is full or there isn’t one planned, we will investigate the opportunity of conducting additional courses and a St John representative will advise you of the outcome.
