Is Hitachi a good brand anymore? If it's the same quality as a Sony/Samsung/LG/Panasonic then it's a great deal. But if it's as bad as those generic branded TVs then I'd probably give it a miss. Check it out in store if you can.

Jb has hisense 40" $496. Not sure how it compare to soniq.
