Yes… Free street parking! Time limits still apply, but I guess the inspectors are on holidays.

  • No wonder I got free parking today but very quiet though. Just went to Nth Parra's Harrys Cafe de Wheels for lunch.

  • Everything is closed anyway during those days.

    • +1

True… but you do realise that westfiels will be open non-stop until 5PM tomorrow arvo and that trying to find a parking spot there is harder than getting a "good" deal at catch of the day?

I am pretty sure most things will be open on boxing day too…

      • Westfield parking is the last place you want to be in during this time lol. Took me over 40mins to get out last xmas.

  • Dang! I should've set up some improv shows or half day classes in my studio off the free parking offer…! Ahh well; next time. Be sure to check out the Pop-Up Parramatta shops too if you're after something less commercial (they're located in the Connection Arcade). :)

Makes sense though; since Westfield is open 36 hours starting today (I think) but unsure if they still charge for parking over 3 hours (fighting the crowds to pay).

  • Can u be more specific? what streets? is it all streets in this suburb where parking cost $? does it include parking lots?

    • Sure.
Pretty much every street with a meter, including north parramatta. Didn't check the other suburbs.
      Parking lots, no idea.

  • from what i remember last year it was all the streets around the westfield. Might want to call up the council and ask. I'm pretty sure this happens every year :)

  • Can confirm.
Street parking and council parking facilities free parking. I parked in the Philip St. multi level car park tonight for the wanderers game. It's all council controlled parking which is free as a Xmas gift from the mayor of Parramatta. (Which means the rate payers of Parramatta will cover it)
