The fuel voucher..
Mod: The Coles Express fuel voucher was requested to be removed by Coles due to a violation of its T&C. Many servos are rejecting these vouchers. Please do not post links or ask for a copy of the voucher.
Does the Coles voucher still work even though the deal has been removed?

Valid points. They are attendants, not police or other such qualified investigators. That is way above their pay grade, and I cant imagine being impressed with the system if they scrutinized legit printed online dockets. Lol, they switch on the bright lights and drill the customer.
However, if the company sends out an email to staff warning of the forgeries (forgerys?? forgeries?? hmmm), and they still honour them, thats kind of stupid of the attendant and opens them up to disciplinary responses. At the very least it says they ignore staff emails, or dont read them in a manner timely enough to be effective. Since the warning was snet out yesterday apparently, Id say honouring them today might be …a big boo boo.
I personally wouldnt blame the attendant for refusing to honour them. Its only a few bucks to me, for them its a weekly paycheck.
Was the first one fake. The reason given for removing the code was violation of T&C. That sounds like it was authentic but it was for personal use. If it was fake wouldn't Coles just say that?
If it was fake and they announce that, wouldn't that only serve to encourage people to try faking more?
I do not believe it was fake, just abused.
I saw the original post in its early stages & it definitely wasn't a "rep" posted deal as others later speculated. Just an average staff member..
Anything that benefits the consumer is abuse. Anything that makes a profit for the company is good.
If at anytime a company makes profit, they are ripping consumers off.
Why did you refuse them all? Was the original voucher legitimate or was that fake?
As for attendants getting fired, that is ridiculous and no company has grounds to fire someone for that.I think he refused them all because there has been a mass communication from coles not to accept these anymore, and he is following directions from his employer.
As for being fired, i guess you can be fired from disobeying direction, well you i can in my workplace, though there is a more stringent process that has to be followed.

This thing is fake. I checked it with several Shells + Coles Managers. Just because I needed to see if this post was legitimate. Turns out people that take it in is based on a mistake! So people that got it and it worked are just lucky with counter people not caring. That's from what i've seen anyways.
If it was 'fake' how did it scan successfully for many people (including myself) without any operator override?
Fake for customers, genuine for staff.
thats not 'fake'..thats a badly designed voucher system open to abuse.
It was valid for a while. What kind of mistake Coles made we can speculate but they did invalidate the code in their system and request OzBargain to delete the deal.

why would they?
if anyone should get fired its the IT/engineers who designed a system that allows for vouchers to be abused..
the guy/girl behind the cash register shouldnt have to worry about someone abusing a voucher and be able to treat each customer with a voucher as honest (rather than having to question the authenticity or threaten to call the cops like one idiot mentioned earlier)
