Is there a easy way to shop at Amazon and see what can be delivered to Australia?

Like the title says, its a pain to put something in the cart and have to start the checkout process just to find out a item can't be delivered.

Is there a easier way that would include all the items that are deliverable to Australia?

  • I have looked for the same thing, and found this:

    http://www.amazon.com/International-Shipping-Direct/b/ref=sd…

  • Thanks for the reply.

Do you know if that includes every item that is avalible to be shipped internationally or just ones that meet certain criterias as well?

I browse this website from time to time and finally there is an opportunity for me to contribute so I joined up :-)!

You can actually do this, but for some reason it doesn't work for every search results page. With most search results pages, there is an option on the left hand navigation under the heading "International Shipping". You need to tick the checkbox next to "AmazonGlobal Eligible" and it will filter your search results to only display items that you can ship globally.

    • beat me to it :)

  • When searching for items scroll all the way to the bottom of the search options going down the left hand side of the window and down the very bottom you will see "Amazon Global Eligible" option. Tick that and it will only list the stuff they'll ship to us.

  • The problem is that the setting isn't persistent. You need to check it each and every search. Sometimes just going to the second page of search results, or viewing any item deselects it for me.

    • To overcome this don't click an item, then use the back button in your browser. Instead, click the middle button on your mouse (if you have one) on the item link, or, hold the shift key down when you left click. Instead of leaving the search results, a new window opens leaving the search results intact.

  • Thanks for the info guys.

I'm just glad to actually contribute to this community, after scoring so many deals from it :-).

  • Also don't forget the option of a mail forwarder such as shipito (there are many others). I used one for the first time recently after spending many hours making my selection on Amazon and being frustrated at the last minute that half the order couldn't be delivered to Aus. I got near on free delivery within the US, used package consolidation (4 packets shipped out from Amazon consolidated into one package shipped to Aus), and between Amazon order and delivery to remote location in Aus it took 12 days (one of the Amazon packages wasn't shipped by them and took an extra 3 days to arrive, otherwise would have been even quicker).

Still cost less than buying the products in Aus.

  • Some of the items Amazon won't send to Australia are just ridiculous. For example, I wanted to buy something but Amazon claimed it was too heavy to ship. I forget what it was now but it was far less weight than these two items I ordered together:

Yes that's right. Cast iron! They were only part of what was in the same box too.

  • Did you know that you can order just about anything from Amazon and other US shops by using a shipping agent like Shipito or many others. They do charge obviously but you can use the slower free delivery option to ship it to the shipping agent and then just pay for the shipping to AUS.
Usually it it pretty reasonable because these companies ship so much, they get good rates.
We, and friends have shipped stacks of big items through these agents, ranging from stereo's, bikes, sports gear like some shoe brands that can't be sent to Australia.
If you use them regularly it has been very worthwhile.

  • I've heard of it but don't know anything about it or how much they charge.

Also I have encountered another problem with the international shipping eligible search.

    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p_n_shipping_option-_0?rh=…

I search for the Moto G (16GB global version) and it says its eligible for global shipping but then says it won't ship to my address (both PO box and physical address) so I don't know why it says its eligible when they don't ship it here.
