I am looking to buy a upright duel fuel cooker ie gas stove and electric oven up to 60 cm width.
My budget is low $1,000.
Any reliable brand to buy ?

The cheapest new option, which I'm doing myself, is the Ikea Lagan oven ($399) and lagan gas cooktop ($199).. which will be placed in the modular Fyndig 63cm cabinet ($55).. so, $653. (which is being installed into my ikea bench top.. I paid $40 from the 'as is' section)
You want a standalone all-in-one reliable appliance, so this doesn't really apply to you.

Just ask them over the phone if they would price match one you have seen for $998. I used this tactic with my TV. Worked fine but I may have been lucky as I was talking to the manager (TV was $1299, got it for $998 over phone).
