JOB: Purchasing Executive @ Kogan

We are currently recruiting for a purchasing executive for our Melbourne office.

The Role

Key to the business is being able to secure the best prices on the latest technology and products to allow us to provide the best savings to our customers.

We are looking for someone who knows technology, who knows what is hot, and who can think quickly on their feet to bring the best products to our customers.

You will use your ability to build relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and vendors to secure Kogan the best possible deals on the latest products. Key to this role is using your highly tuned analytical skills to evaluate offers and deals quickly to determine if it is worth pursuing.

You will use your organisation skills to keep on top of ordering requirements, ensuring that our customers get their products in the timeframes expected. This will also involve heavy interaction with our sales team to be able to communicate any issues or delays that may arise.

This role has high visibility within the business, influencing what products we offer to our customers, and determining the direction we take with our product range.

Skills that will make you great for the job:

• Key understanding of the technology market, trends and in demand products – We want someone who is passionate about technology, and uses that passion to drive our product selection.
• Highly Developed analytical skills – Being able to evaluate offers and products quickly to determine if they’re of value to our customers is key
• Ability to build relationships with key people in our supply chain – You must be able to talk the talk and walk the walk with people in our supply chain to ensure we have good working relationships
• Multi-tasking specialist – At Kogan we expect you to juggle 50 different things at the same time. You are expected to be skilled in jumping from task to task throughout the day without missing anything.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - You need to have a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, and be able to quickly manipulate data, while keeping a strong attention to detail.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business

Salary Range: $60k+
