2 hour tokyo booze cruise is awesome. japan is awesome for nomihodai - basically all you can drink for 1 or 2 or more hours for around 1000yen.
or combined with allyoucan eat deals as well. roof top beergardens and some restaurants(e.g. izekayas) offer it.

being drunk in public (as long as your not obnoxious, violent or naked) is not such a social faux pas in Japan. unless it is 10 in the morning. It's weird, if you arrive at work and announce your sick then peole will frown, if you say your hung over then people will look at you with "good on ya mate".

      Quick Ozbargainer Japanese lesson:
"tabay-ho-die" = all you can eat
"nomi-ho-die" = all you can drink

AYCE is around $15-$40 for BBQ/yakiniku/shabu shabu. AYCD is about $10-$15 if added to a meal at restaurant or $20-$40 at Karaoke or certain bars. Usually includes beer, wine, cocktails, spirits, etc.

It's not always openly advertised so it pays to ask.

Thanks OP. I've saved a couple of hundred dollars with this. It's normally so difficult to find real discounts for stuff in Japan. Now I'm going to see the snow monkeys - and saved some real money!

I thought I'd come back and share that this is a really good deal if you're only planning to do Tokyo and Osaka like myself. With 30% off, it comes down to about $90 one-way via shinkansen and it counts as a 'tour', for promo code purposes. Pair it with a 4-day Kansai pass for 6000yen to explore the area around Osaka and it's a massive saving compared to a 7-day JR pass.

The Osaka Unlimited Pass is fantastic value if you plan on seeing a lot of places in one day. I can't recommend it highly enough.
