Sony 32" W670A Series Bravia Full HD LED Smart TV $548 (Pickup)

50

Hello Team,

Been looking for a nice 32" telly, and a reason to use this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/122643

Last time this TV was posted https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/112835 it was $710 and you needed Costco M'ship

Tidy specs, great profile. I'm about to buy (unless anyone can give me a good reason to back out!)

Can't find on Staticice, but $787 at TGG & Appliances Online and Big Brown Box. $795 at Bing Lee (aaaaand $1,199.00 at Officeworks.. Lols for the price match.)

Now down to $548 HN, or $518 if registered for the Amex cashback.

Edit: I got ahead of myself and started comparing 32" to 42" prices. Still OK with Amex Cashback. normal pricing without. I'll just go and sit in the corner now. Thanks.

I have this in the bedroom. Great TV. Fast interface, Motionflow works well (you'd be hard pressed to tell its apparently a 50Hz panel), the only downside is that the Australian apps aren't as good as on my Samsung.

That said, if you use a VPN/Smart DNS service, you also get a year free of both Netflix (can add to an existing subscription to get a $96 credit) and Hulu Plus (new accounts only) when you change your Sony region. Both are normally $96 a year.

The prices you mentioned in the description are for the 42" model, the HN one is 32".

Had a quick look at the prices for the 32".

    BBB - 548
    BL - 559
    TGG - 579

That's the 42inch version, so unless you're looking for a 42inch TV, the other comparison are also 42inch, I'm assuming the $1000+ are the 3Dversion.

Your Harvey Norman link is the only 32inch in your post.

no you are not.. you have saved yourself from buying something that you thought it was cheap by posting here ;)

    • It takes a big man to admit he was wrong.

We appreciate the effort in writing a solid post and showing why its a good deal, would of worked better with the correct comparisons but hey, you'll get it right next time! :P

  • You can probably go ahead and delete this one Mod :)

This is a great TV (I paid around $100 more a few months ago) although for online content I recommend using a network cable (had some difficulties connecting via wifi but that could be because of my cable internet). FTA looks stunning, so do DVDs and HD streamed content. USB recording (single tuner only) is fantastic as well, really the only way for me to watch TV series these days.
