You might want to mention New Customers Only. Also, it is only a subscription service if you set it up like that. I have purchased a couple of times, and have no such ongoing payment in place

They also put a bunch of unwanted marketing junk in the box with my order. And be careful with the "Angel" subscription as mentioned in the text. Not real impressed.

      • How did you guys find the wine?

        • Actually haven't got to it yet. I mainly got Malborough Sav Blancs. Fingers crossed :)

I've used them for a while and find the wine, generally, very impressive. Especially for the price.

The Angel subscription has decent benefits. I'm not sure why people would be so against it. At any point you can cancel your subscription and get your cash back. There is no obligation to order. What's so wrong with that? Obviously you need to understand what you're getting into, but I find that it's a good deal.

        • At $40 a month that's $480 a year. Can't see myself drinking anywhere near that quantity of wine.

        • I tried the Mechanic Shiraz yesterday, quite nice.

If you want to join Naked Wines do not use the $50 voucher - just order through their website. The $50 voucher reduces the wine to $59.99 but order without the voucher and the discounts are better - you end up with a case for $29.99. I have had 4 deliveries and all wines have been very good. I do have the Angels offer and you get discounts and free bottles. Anyone that whinges about the Angel deal doesn't have it and doesn't understand it. You don't have to take it and you can cancel at any point. I recommend Naked Wines but do NOT recommend taking this $50 offer.

    • Could you post the link of $29.9 a case, plx?

      • If you have already put in the $50 voucher it will remember you have done so. Clear cache, cookies, etc and restart your web browser (or use different computer). Then when it asks if you have a voucher, say NO and follow that.

        • I am just thinking their cheapest case right now is The Best Angel Deal Case-which is Aud 158.xx,I can't find any cases lower than that :(

If you open the site and it starts asking you questions you are in the right place to get the $29.99 deal. For new customers only. If you are not getting the questions I suggest using another PC or your phone to check out the deal.

    • Really? I gave a $50 voucher to a guy at work and it stacked on another voucher he got as a new user. He ended up getting 14 bottles for free (seriously). Maybe they wised up. That was about 3 months ago.

      • I don't believe you can use these two offers together but this may have been a different offer - they do have different offers all the time. I did get 3 free bottles when I signed up and joined Angels.

  • hhhm, created a new account. put 6 bottles in the basket. when i look at the total it doesnt subtract the voucher. or am i doing something wrong?

it does say that I have a $50 voucher to use.

    • The voucher is for a set mixed case - not pick and choose

      • aaahh, so it's a $50 off a set mixed case offer.

  • The Pinchme deal is the best case deal for Naked Wines just now @ $59.99 for 12. You don't need to be a new customer for this one. http://www.nakedwines.com.au/pinchme

Great if you are an existing customer. Otherwise take the $29.99 deal.

      • Thanks for the link :)
Just found out I didn't take the $30 coupon, that's why I can't see it. lol

I keep reading it as "Wives"…
"Get a $50 Wine Voucher Just in Time for Christmas with Naked Wives"
    Sounds like a deal. :)))

Indeed, getting 12 wines for $29.99 by going straight to their website (getting a $30 voucher there) is much better than getting them for $49.99 after $50 off. The wines are slightly different, but same RRP.

Very aggressive and fairly dodgy marketing by Naked Wines. I have been flooded with voucher codes too. Got two with a Bookdepository books. Got one with an Everten order. Got one via email from Ubank. Got the Pichme one. And then they write: sorry, you've already had one. Well, don't hand them out like popcorn and add some small-print that says "new customers only". What a waste of time…

      Link to $29.99 wines?

      • +3

There is no direct link, just follow these instructions:
        1) open a different browser that never has surfed to naked wines - or clear all cookies and cache from your browser
        2) go directly to http://www.nakedwines.com.au/
        3) select your state
        4) click "No" when it asks about whether you have a voucher
        5) click the green button 3 times for the survey questions
        6) voila! $30 voucher and it takes you to the wines that are $29.99 after applying that voucher

My interpretation of what happens is quite simple: all the other companies that send out voucher codes do so not out of the goodness of their heart but for a commission. I bet they get exactly $20 for every new customer Naked finds through one of those vouchers.

If you use one of those other voucher codes Naked make you pay $20 extra to recover that cost. If you visit their page directly, you get the wine for $29.99, if you use a voucher you pay $49.99.

        • Great! Thanks for taking the time to explain that.

  • How do I deactivate my angels account? Other than calling them? I cannot see any option to cancel through my account pages.

    Someone please upload a picture?

    • From their FAQ
      "How do I cancel?
Cancelling your Angel status is easy (although we'd rather you didn't!) You can cancel at any time by logging in, then selecting 'Account details' under your name at the top of the website, followed by 'Angels Account'. Or call us at 1800 898 677. Either way, we'll cancel your account and refund any unspent top-ups you have made."

I can not even find the 'Angels Account' part in the dropdown. :(

click on you profile name in top right on main page
        - my account, and log in.
        - on the profile selection you will have Angel account.
click on that to cancel the Angel account, if you don't see it, you are not an Angel member.

        • Thanks. Found it.
