Halogens aren't Edison screw, but great price none the less
Mmm, interesting. I am looking for a 60W equivalent to replace my incandescent bulbs, which apparently differs depending on the manufacturer. Can you tell me which of your products would suit?
I'm guessing the 'FOC Optimizing design' comes from the light only being released at the top of the bulb. I'm thinking this won't be suitable for the lights within my ceiling fans which are inserted sideways. I am tempted to try anyway..
I would also be replacing a large number of downlight bulbs. Could I also ask the equivalent for a 35W Halogen in your bulbs? The current ones seem to be a MR16 plug, and have a 5cm diameter. Although even if they are suitable it wouldn't be in the Ozbargain spirit if I didn't wait for a sale.
Much appreciated!
Check out http://www.designrecycleinc.com/led%20comp%20chart.html
You need about 800 lumens to match a 60w bulb. The 10w is equal to a 40w bulb
that chart seems to be rather off - it claims more output from a incandescent than the HALOGEN manufacturers do I wouldnt trust it for a minute
a 60W incandescent would be more in the 500Lumen range, just below a 50W Halogen at 600 (manufacturer rating)
a 35W halogen is likely to be matched nicely by the very common 4W 4xCree or similar high efficiency emmitter units giving about 400 lumens, or a cheaper 6W for about the same. on thing to look out for is the spread angle, halogens come in 600 and 120 degree spreads, LEDs have a number of options beyond those to choose from too, right out to 180.
Also take care that the MR16s you buy suit your current system. 12V halogens dont care about AC or DC but many LEDs are DC only, so it is best to figure out which you have (a basic multimeter will tell you, AC will only register on the AC range, DC will only show on the DC range) . MR16 LEDs also come in 240V.Thank you for your reply,AyjeofSpades.
Just leave a message to frank on ebay with your address information,we will send some samples to you.
We think this is the most quick way to answer your questions.
Thank you.
once you add in shipping it is quite expensive MAN MNAY better deals round
drop the shipping (to free) and i will drop the neg - no way i am buying more than a couple of luminaires from a supplier first time round as a test batchshunyoutong posted a similar ebay deal to this 3 months ago and I'm still waiting for the globes to arrive. I think I have done my $6.
MISLEADING eBay TITLE!! Sellers like you drive me crazy, making eBay unusable!
Your description for bayonet listing is this:
"B22 Bayonet LED Bulb 6W 8W 10W Cool/Warm white Light Lamp Globe E27 Edison Screw" - E27 Edison Screw should NOT be in the title!Your description for the Edison Screw listing is this:
"E27 B22 LED Bulb 6W 8W 10W Cool/Warm white Light Lamp Globe Edison Screw" - B22 is Bayonet and should NOT be in the title! If I try to search for E27, BOTH YOUR LISTINGS SHOW UP, wasting my time! If the item is not Edison screw, DON'T PUT EDISON SCREW IN THE TITLE OR DESCRIPTION!!
Sellers like you are destroying eBay, and making it impossible to find anything worthwhile. I just wasted an entire hour trying to find dimmable B15 LED bulbs, and nearly every single listing that showed "B15 LED Dimmable" in the title lead to something entirely different.
NEG NEG NEG. I've reported you to eBay for misleading title.
take a deep breath..
There doesn't seem to be any B22's left???
you probably click on the wrong link, here are some B22 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121193437661
Hi rep, does these LED bulb flicker after installing in the normal halogen fixture? I have had some bad experience in the past with cheap LED bulb from HK. Thanks in advance
Hi yoondragon,
Were the flicker Led bulbs MR16? If so,it's must some kind of compatible problem between the led bulbs and the transformers. Please refer the page and the website here:http://www.ledbenchmark.com/faq/Transformers-Output-and-Compatibility.html,they are writing so deeply in this situation. And we never get any flicker report on our E27 or B22 Bulbs yet.
Goodluck to you!
while $8 for shipping
Can we have free postage :)
