A band-aid, eh? New or used?

  • +4

What an odd thing to sample.

    • +1

Not really. We bought some band aids recently and they fell off in a few minutes. We've given up buying them now. They're probably selling so few band aids that they want people to sample something that actually sticks.

  • +3

Plastic type or the fabric type?
    some people are allergic.

    • +4

I am SOOOOO allergic to the latex I think used as glue in the fabric type. Crazy contact dermatitis - like photos of peeps with poison ivy. Before I knew this, I had a podiatrist tape my foot to halfway up my calf and was told not to remove the wrapping for five days.

Noticed things were a little itchy by morning of day three. Pulled the tape off, looked like I had freddy krueger's leg. The allergy gets worse after every exposure too, apparently. Had scars for 6 weeks after.

Why bother for two bandaids! Now they're made in China they're rubbish anyway.

    • +4

It's free and it requires you to write approximately 10 words, you don't have to signup for anything, like a page or share anything etc.

      And it's free.

  • +2

    twoooooo? 8…weeks?

    • +2

      8 / 2 = 4 weeks/strip
      2 / 8 = 0.25 strip/week

  • +6

Better hope you don't get a cut in the 8 weeks you have to wait for these.

  • +3

Is this what Ozbargain has become? Two free band-aids. Who on earth would spend their time trying to claim this rubbish. Too cheap to buy a pack?

    • +33

It's quicker to claim the two free band-aids, than write what you just did.

      • +6

Coincidentally, you should not use a Band-Aid to cover that burn. ;-)

  • +21

If you're really cheap, just go to any reputable shopping centre and ask centre management/information counter for two bandaids because you cut yourself when shopping.

    Terms state:

Sampling offer commences on the 9th October 2013 and will continue until 9th November 2013 or while stocks last (Offer period). Once exhausted, no more samples will be distributed.

Does that mean its already expired?

    • +1

I noticed that before posting, however it's still on their Facebook page so they must have continued it as they still had stock (9th November or while stocks last).

8 weeks wait for 2 band aids.
Jeez. Go buy some. They're $2.99 for 20. ie 15c each.
I use them religiously in soccer to prevent toe blisters. Theyre fabric and VERY sticky, will stay on for days if you don't pull them off.

Seems strange to ask for reviews. Does anyone really need to read reviews about band-aids?

    • Yes.

      For example

      http://www.elastoplast.com.au/Products/wound-care/heavy-fabr…
These ones does stick on very very well, however when you try to take it off, the fabric and the adhesive seperates, leaving a layer of glue stuck to your skin, and its mighty annoying trying to peel it off.

      http://www.elastoplast.com.au/Products/wound-care/antibacter…
While their standard fabric ones comes off fairly easily leaving no residue.

      So yes, you need reviews.

    • +2

Yeah, I do. I am allergic to the glue on most band-aids so for people like myself it can be handy.

      • You could find info about the adhesive used on their website, so I wouldn't say that is strictly a review.

  • +4

Direct link to the sample form – don't even need to write a review.

  • +2

2 band-aids for free is really pushing it. For the packing and post that goes with it, they should just send an electronic coupon for a small box of them.
