We have 3 cards: Bank-issued Master, Bank-issued Amex and "proper" Amex.
Just wonder with the "Free" Travel Insurance, what is that to look out for? There had been several discussions on that but not quite complete.
We are trying to pay all our traveling expenses via Credit Card, which could be substantial, not to mention the agents charging 2-3% fees.
So my question is, how do I determine which card to use?
I tried to read the terms and conditions, but it's just get too hard.
If anyone has experience, good and bad, appreciate if you can share.
You need to book your airfare on the (preferably platinum) card with the best insurance policy.
I would read the T&Cs of each, but look out for minimum excess payments (e.g. if it is $250 it isn't worth it to claim a delayed flight) and process to make a claim for any loss/theft - most require a local police report.
Personally, all other things being equal, I would tend to use the bank Amex, as it gives you three targets to shame if you have a problem with a claim, the policy issuer, the bank and Amex.
