Cheap table tennis gear

Hi All,

I'm getting into table tennis and have been looking into investing in some gear.

Done quite a bit of googling but haven't really found anything.

Any recommendations for the best place to shop for table tennis gear?

I'm hoping to buy:

2 x Beginner's bats ($15-20 range each), any recommendations on brand and model will be appreciated too!

Hi HAL. I've bought a table and gear from K-mart before. It was cheap and not to bad. The balls weren't too great though I think from memory. I think they are the only thing I wouldn't really cheap out on too much.

I used to play a LOT of table tennis through uni.. way beyond just a casual player and the k-mart stuff was usable for me :P

Hi Subywagon,

Thanks for the info but I bought some gear from Big W last night, the balls were really terrible (as you mentioned) the bats came damaged in the package… it really put me off.

After that experience I've decided to buy some more decent gear :)

Stuff from decathalon were decent to me. but i'm pretty amateur
