    • Not Yet!!

  • Not as good as last year's offer.

I fell for this last year when it was spend $150 get a $75 statement credit. I got a shirt, a satchel and a mug which were made in either Bangladesh or China (probably costing CR $10 or so to buy) and not much better than could be attained at Target for $30. I don't know how a store like Country Road stays afloat, do people like being ripped off?

    • wow that's a really good deal!

      • It was a good deal compared to Country Roads normal prices, but relative to other stores not really.

        • It was even better when it coincide with their Country Road's Cardholder sale.

$30 credit for $90 spend is still better than $0 credit for $90 spend…

    • that was a great deal because it covered mimco as well and that discount is the only way to get anything off their "Signature range".

    • Obviously, the answer is yes since CR is one of the better performing Aussie retailers. people are willing to pay more to wear something fashionable, rather than look like they buy their clothes at Target.

I guess you don't buy anything nike or adidas then? You also need to take into account how much they pay for their store lease, workers here, promoters, ads, blah blah… it's not as simple as some guy in china getting paid $10 a day out the back of a chicken farm.

There been a lot of Amex deal.
Maybe I should sign up to Amex.
Does anyone know how to get Amex free of annual fees?

Looks like we are in luck…

    • Yep. Worked for my Westpac card

  • no gift cards hey?

    • Should work. Worked last year.

      • Gift Card purchases or purchases made through concession stores in department stores; online aggregators such as Paypal or other retailers are excluded.?

        • Ok I'll take it back. From memory last year gift cards weren't explicitly excluded and after lots of discussion people confirmed that it worked so that's what I did. This year it's explicitly excluded so you buy gift cards at your own risk.

bought at risk - the missus loves Country Road, and I was short on x-mas gift ideas. Just got my e-mail from AmEx ("congratulations! you have earned a statement credit"). Looks like gift cards are in play.

        • Have you receive the credit onto your account?

    • Just bought one today, got an e-mail confirming a statement credit. Looks like it'll work.

      • Hi did they give the credit back to your account? And did u buy it online or Instore? I am thinking of buying one for my partner but hesitating due to the T and Cs.

        • We bought 3x $90 gift card … and got 3x $30 credit back

all to our statement as credit.

          We bought in store.

        • Cheers. I will try instore too then. Afraid amex may reject it if I buy it online

  • It works for me,Commonwealth Bank of Australia;

  • Wish I have more AMEX cards!

  • Where do u find these deals ? are they just somewhere in the amex website?

    • Log into AMEX online and go to your account summary (MY ACCOUNT then Your Account option). There are few tabs , Second TAB is OFFERS ….under that TAB all these offers keep showing up time to time

Sometimes i receive marketing / promotion emails

At time through amexconnect.com.au , can register there freely.

  • $80 for a pair of shorts or a woven T-shirt. The cashback is not going to go far.

Has anyone else noticed that their website is almost identical to the French Connection site?

    www.countryroad.com.au vs www.frenchconnection.com.au

    • Depends on how you define the "identical", they look quite different to my eyes.

Loving all these deals for Amex cardholders. Glad I signed up last year!

  • can additional cardholders register?

    • Yes, as long as their card numbers are different from the primary card numbers.

  • anyone know if this is applicable on their outlet online store?>

    • Can confirm this deal works with outlet purchases =).

  • Good for the CC fans but their goods are abit pricey even for those on sale. And there is no free online shopping delivery offer currently, might have to pop in their store and hunt for bargains if any

  • Stupid question: How can I register this deal with bank issued Amex? I can easily see the deal after logging into Amex.com.au but how do I attach this deal to my ANZ Amex if I can not add the ANZ card to amex.com.au? ANZ internet banking does not have these deals featured. Thanks.

    • Just click the link from OP and fill up the details. You will receive a confirmation email that your card is registered.

  • good

  • Anyone know if they have a sale on at the moment?

  • 25% off for cardholders from today through to Saturday :)
