Apple returns

Hi, my dad recently won a ipad mini, I was wondering whether I could go into an apple store and ask for an upgrade to the ipad mini with retina display (and pay the difference)

Thoughts?

    Depends on whether the item was purchased (by who ever gave it to him) within the last 30 days, as they have a change of mind policy for that reason.
    Saying that, most comps have a rule stating that you prize is not redeemable for cash and is not transferable and i suspect apple wont swap it out without a reciept which the promotor is unlikely to give u sadly.

      Where does it say '30 days for change of mind returns policy'? I have googled, check the apple website but can't find it.

        i think its 14days not 30days
