Best time and place to buy chocolates for Christmas?

When is the best time to buy? Would it be better to wait until right before Christmas?

Also, where would the best be? Stores like Target? Confectionary warehouses? Supermarkets?

    There have been so many deals between coles and woolies the last few weeks for chocolate. and at 50% too! For all the big brands - Lindt, Ferrero, Guylian, Tolberone. Look in this weeks catalogue. There are a few on sale for 50% or so.

        Better than 50% off? For those premium brands, I'm not sure I've seen better ever. Especially Rafaellos!

        Oh wait, you can get pretty good prices after Christmas when retailers are trying to get rid of all their Christmas stock. however the chocolates go quickly and I don't think they're around for the 90% off that eventually happens.

    Sadly I doubt they ship to Brissie, they don't use preservatives so they may not survive the heat. Still you did ask :)

        Can I say all of them :) I do have an extra soft spot for the salted caramel.

        They are not cheap though. I guess that makes them a treat.

    I like Big W around Christmas time. They usually have bigger boxes of chocolates and are reasonably priced.

    I just noticed catch of the day are doing a big sale, with free shipping for orders over $25 excluding bulky stuff. A lot of it is in bulk and some of it is imported, but worth a glance if you're after the mainstream stuff and lots of it.

        I thought they shipped within a week usually. I've found the shipping with catch of the day isn't too bad, unless it's a freebie promo, when they're quite slow about it.

    I sometimes go to a chocolate place call "sweet as",they sell chocolate at discounted price. Just be aware some of the cheap ones are very close to expiry date. I think they are Victoria based,if u wish to order from Brisbane ,they do sell them online at

    Just a request for tip offs to anyone who sees the Dark Toblerone 400gms blocks, particularly in the majors and/or discounted even better.

    The dark one has disappeared from Kmart and Woolies and while we see the milk choc one on special I've not seen dark mentioned for ages.

      Just saw they have some at Coles it was like at the front of the store but to the side past the checkouts. Dark Tolberones 400g 2 for $14! Hope this helps!

    Ended up going to Big W yesterday and getting stuff. Not much on special but can't complain as the prices were just right. Although it is worth noting the Favourites (mini blocks) 400g for $6.
