  $850 cancellation fee for international flights booked through STA…
  Check your travel insurance policy to see if this fee is covered or not.
  My platinum card insurance doesn't cover travel agent fees apparently.

  tickets are around $1250 direct with air nz. they are running a promotion where you get $200 off a booking to usa (code is usa200) so brings the price down to around $1050

  This is fair dinkum, make sure you call the number.
  Just booked for $899, airNZ is better than most.
  AirNZ has released only 99 seats at this price so hurry, better if you're flexible as they are selling fast.

    I was quoted $972.33 from Adelaide

    They're approximately $70 or so dollars more because of taxes from Adelaide. The $899 is a 'from' price.
