I am thinking of getting an iphone and was wondering if anyone has any recommendation of which provider gives the best deal.
I prefer to use my mobile to call overseas pretty often. So i guess a cap (or combination of a cap with a value pack) that gives high overseas call allowance will be the best.

Go for Virgin; They have International calling in the cap.
try pennysim they have recently introduced VoIP rates from your existing mobile. simpy insert their sim and away you go, cheapest local and international calls.. very clever!

I think Optus is getting really ridiculous. They actually charge customers international call if you use their network to call a local line and then reroute to oversea. How on earth they can do that since the really usage of Optus is actually to call that landline only? I think telecom in Australia has too little competition. If this were to happen in anywhere of the world Optus would have to pack up their business and say goodbye already
I know this is slightly off-topic but if you are mostly calling from places with wireless network (like office or home) then you can always use skype to make the calls.
