Good price on a 32GB Rugged / keyring memory stick

Hi all,

I want to find a memory stick that can survive on a keyring. Most I buy either stop being recognised or break where the keyring goes. Im hoping theres a good price out there with cyber monday and all. Any ideas?

This looks best so far:

Needs to be at least 16gb, USB3 isn't a big deal. Durability is what matters most.

Thanks

  • I recently picked up one of these: http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/lacie-32gb-100m-waterp…

Pretty solid & handy to have around.

    • Wouldn't the gold contacts get scratched easily? It's out there in the open!

  • The Corsair one you linked actually seems pretty decent.

    • It does look good, the only thing stopping me from buying it is Im not sure if its a fake. Everywhere else sells this for $20 more or so.

  • The one you selected looks pretty hardy. I would say just stay away from those ones with removable caps; we have many plastic varieties but none of them are damaged yet (apart from a chewed one which was looking a bit rusty) and some are on keyrings too. For keyrings I prefer the type with the slide around top (Verbatim) which seems to offer some more protection though to the gold:

You could also look into those with the retractable heads (Sony) too. If moisture is a problem perhaps looks into a type that you could wear on a chain etc around your neck. If it were me I would just do a daily back up to a computer and if the usb is looking sus then simply replace it with another.
