BioShock on PC - $5.00 at Kmart

240

I picked up this at Kmart Hurstville yesterday (last one), scanned up as $5.00, was marked as $89.95.
Definately worth buying this game, it won lots of awards and 10/10 scores.

And please, if there is more than one copy in stock at your Kmart, buy one, dont be greedy. give other people a chance to get a copy.

  • can anyone else confirm this? sounds like just a pricing error

  • happens all the time. I got a xbox 360 game for $15, but was marked as $89

that is why i price check all the games, bargains can be found

  • Are the prices set centrally? Or is it different from store to store?

    • I have no idea with this game, but in the past Kmart's clearence titles seem to be the same at every store.

  • I will go down to my local kmart tomorrow and verify this..

  • none at kmart chadstone (vic) :(

  • mate i will check this out on weekend.

  • well now that you have made it public, its most likely been rectified.

lady from work bought wii fit from jb hifi and it scanned for $1 haha

    • lol I imagine the checkout person didn't sell it for that

  • typically emo workers at JB dont care, just as long as it actually scans something…

    • can't blame them though. It is not their job to fix those sorts of things and it just annoys others in the queue for the holdup.

  • I couldn't find any on the north side of Brisbane… although I couldn't see a lot of PC games in the Kmarts I went to at all…

  • sounds to me like a pricing error, impossible for a PC game to be marked down to $5.

  • i went to noarlunga kmart (SA) they had a copy but it was marked as $30. Argued with the chick, but no go with the $5 price. But they did have some games marked as $5. nothing i wanted tho' They had a huge table with plastic tubs filled with various games (wii, Xbox, DS etc) all from $5 - $50 (ds ones for $20)

    • Did you try scanning it? I've found that occasionally clearance items may scan at a lower price than what is actually marked as the 'clearance' price.

    • it would not scan with the price check system. had to go to a counter

  • i tried scanning it, it told me price is unavailable and to take it to a counter for price (or something along those lines) i did that and received agressive response from counter chick. She told me they were all checked and confirmed the other day. so no dice im sorry. i will check other sa stores tomorrow.

  • Nice work. Does sound like a pricing error. I picked up the game myself for $8 when steam had it going for $5 US…

  • Just checked at my local KMART and it wasn't $5.00, it was $89.95 like what it was marked.

And even if it is $5.00 I doubt they'll let you buy it, I know this from past experience. For example early this year I found PS2 Simpsons Hit and Run and scanned it for $0.05. Yes it scanned for 5 cents. However when I brought it up to the cashier he said that we were unable to sell it for that cheap and even the manager came in to explain to me that this was probably a pricing error.

  • Confirmed.
Got mine from Kmart Warwick Perth for $5.00 yesterday (Saturday). It was the last one (that I could see). Box was a bit damaged but that's about it. The staff did query it with another, but she said it's the correct price.

  • Who bulk buys PC games anyway?

It's not like everyone's going to take 10 for themselves or something lol

  • looked at two more Kmart stores (Marion and Kurralta Park, SA) no luck with any copies. But i did notice that the Xbox version was marked as $89.00 but scanned at $39.00

  • No copies left at K-mart Tuggeranong (Canberra).
