Seems most clicks throughout OB site now start a new window containing Gambling sites, and banner ads asking to Clean Up PC with free PC scanner - most annoying.
OB is addicitive enough - I dont need to gamble too.

It's not ozb, it's you. Try running a scan for adware, eg malwarebytes antivirus, and stop clicking on pr0n links.
Ozbargain does not have any popups. As others suggested, you're infected with malware.

As this is a computer problem, I have moved this thread into the computing forum.
OzBargain definitely doesn't serve popups and no gambling ads. Can you post a screenshot?
I recommend you run Spybot Search & Destroy which is free and can be downloaded here:
http://www.safer-networking.org/mirrors/ (choose an ad free mirror)
Having removed any problems found, use the immunize option to keep your pc from being re-infected.
You may need to reboot you computer after removing malware
You can uninstall Spybot Search and Destroy once the system has been cleaned.
I would also download and run MalwareBytes which can be found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Lastly, if you don't have a browser addon like adBlock Plus, I recommend you get one. I use AdBlock Edge with Firefox and I never see ads.
Is it possible the problem is on your end? Do you get this with a different PC?
