I just bought a Hamarvik and Hafslo queens in medium firm from Ikea WA. Although the Hamarvik will be my main mattress in my new place, I'm using the Hafslo now and I'm happy with it. I hated my old mattress because it was too firm. The Hafslo is nice for me, but I don't think it's for everyone. You can hear the springs clunk around when you get on or off it. It's quite soft now, and will only get softer. If you prefer a firm bed, I wouldn't go near it, even the firm option. I'm happy with it for now, and $154, I can't complain.
Bought a couple of the Hafslo single firm when ikea had 20% off in July (~$79)
Can't complain… I get a good night sleep… obviously they are built to a budget:
1/you can only use one side of the bed (shorter life span)
2/they do make a bit of a clunky noise (as stated by puffinfresh)
3/they are a lot lighter (less material in them)
But once in bed, I honestly can't tell the difference between this and more expensive mattresses I've owned.
Should last me at least 2-3 years which is a bargain for $79!
I think I'll sleep on this deal before I make a decision whether to purchase.
