  • any better than a $15 cheapo set from aldi/kmart/bigw etc?

    • aah…I had same question…

      • This measures percentage body fat also, which only the expensive ones do.

        • The cheap ones do to, but they do it crap. We need someone who has actually tested the body fat percentage who go see to the gym and uses one of the expensive ones also so we can see if it's anywhere near accurate

Can't find any other place selling this 150kg model. It's not even on the WW website. Old model?

Harvey Norman sells the 182kg version for $49 with 10 year warranty, so the $169.95 normal price for 150kg is a complete joke and fabrication.

I tried these instore and it said to me, "one person at a time please…"

    • Woah…jv actually told a funny joke!

  • That RRP seems crazy. You can get a 158 kilo Fitbit WiFi-connected scale from Hardly Normal for less than that; even cheaper if you shop around. It'll do weight, and body composition, for up to 8 people automatically (assuming they all weigh slightly different weights) and graphs the whole lot online for you automatically. The less effort you need to make to use it, the more likely it is that you will use it; and the graphing will smooth out your daily ups and downs. Grab a Fitbit wireless pedometer while you're at it, and you have a pretty accurate count of calories expended, based on your weight and body composition each day.

There's also the Withings scale, which does the same thing but goes to 180KG, but seems more expensive.
