Horley's Ripped WPI Protein Powder - Cheap price?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows a place to get Horley's Ripped Protein Powder for cheap (3KG Bucket or something - the biggest available).

I have looked around online and Supps R Us is the cheapest for 3KG Bucket at around $190 including shipping.

Cheers!

  • Hey PLA74 - have you used Horley's before.
I always wondered why there were so expensive ($50+/kg, or price you showin $63/kg).
    Any benefit to this brand?

    • Hey mick123, yeah I've been on horleys for about 3 months now…started with the 1.2KG bottle to try it…as I'm trying to loose fat/weight in my body, the powder has stuff like green tea extract, black pepper powder, gluts mine and heaps of other stuff…which makes it a bit expensive I think…and the taste of the powder is really good as well compared to other powders I've tried like Venom Protein, Optimum Nutrition!

  • +1

Back when I did take whey supps, I only go for Horleys and pay the extra because it tasted decent. Its a personal thing I suppose…

    • Haha yeah same reason I got it as well lol and coz of extra ingredients…the taste is really good and mixes really well without clumping or frothing!

  • I have used Horley's RIPPED Factors and ICE before, and I have used about 10 other Protein brands in my nieve days. You are paying for the brand. The C4 complex is not worth an extra $30 per kg. The main functioning ingredient affecting your metabolism is caffeine … just buy some instant coffee and mix!

I must say, that the RIPPED protein is good with 84% protein, but no way for $63 per kg.

Regarding taste, I tell everyone the way I see it … you spend 4 seconds drinking a protein shake after a workout. Even if it tastes like nothing, all I care about are the amino's getting in me. But that's my personal view…

To help you out, here it is for $179 with free shipping and I think there's 5% or 10% code around too :

    • Hey kickling, since Horleys ripped is a Whey Protein Isolate powder and some caffeine powder mixed, to save money and stuff…do you reckon it would be a good idea to buy a different branded flavoured WPI powder and mix the right amount of instant coffee powder for caffeine (use same amount Horleys Ripped has)?
Cheers for the link as well!

      • RIPPED says it has 101mg of caffeine, which is about the same as a regular small coffee. So just put in however much you would normally make for a coffee cup. If all you want is caffeine just go with the cheap stuff - you will be mixing it with protein and will mask any unsavoury flavour anyway, but that's all up to you…

One other way you can do it, is by buying green tea extract capsules (naturally contains caffeine). I see this is an ingredient in their C4 matrix blend as well. I got a whole bunch from the US (bodybuilding.com) a month ago with their buy3 get1 free deal, I got 400 capsules for around $AU35 with post. Taken twice a day, that is a huge 200 days worth. The $35 you save on not buying just 1KG of Horleys will pay for this already.

I have been caught in the protein cutting scandal, and I have recently switched all my supply for my clients to Bulk Nutrients. I buy at their bulk rate $27 per kg. Cookies and cream is a fantastic flavour - ask them for some samples to judge for yourself. The CEO/Manager of Bulk Butrients is a great guy and runs a tight ship.

Another great value product is RedBak. In between the protein scandal and dealing with Bulk Nutrients, I ordered their RAPID WPI Chocolate and Iced Coffee 3KG from them. Not many places sell Iced Coffee flavour, and it is OK (I blend the two to make my own "Mocha" flavour). Paid avg $33 per kg with shipping with a special discount. I used to use their protein 5 years ago when it was just $25 per kg. Good Aussie company, real 84% protein content.
