I'm looking to replace my mum's first gen ipad. Are there any tablets around 10" that are reasonably priced? It's primarily used for viewing videos, so it would be good if it could play most popular video formats and have a USB port.

I don't really care which platform, just anything comparatively cheap that is good for viewing media.
Ainol Novo Spark. Cheap chinese tablet (~$220) with ipad 4 specs. You'll need to put cyanogenmod on it (stock firmware is limp), but its got hdmi out and microSD slot. BSplayer or VLC will play anything.
have tried ainol brand before through an Aus supplier and ended up sending it back. it comes with chinese android by default, yes you can change the language but its not the same as English android. plus google play didn't recognise it as being compatible with many normal apps.
What do you mean by reasonably priced?
Also are you looking at any particular platform - e.g. Windows, Android or iOS?
You can probably pick up some really good deals on the iPad 4 at the moment if you're looking to stay with iOS.
