Gator DVR Car Recorder Camera Was: $88.00 Now: $49.98 @ SuperCheapAuto

10

This Gator DVR Car Recorder Camera features a fixed 140° wide-angle lens, providing ample visibility for your lane, and the lanes beside. This camera also has a fully adjustable 8x zoom, and the body of the camera can be rotated 180°, whilst still maintaining an upright image. These two features alone allow this camera to be quickly and easily configured for a perfect view of the road, regardless of the vehicle.

Adjustment isn’t guesswork either, as this camera has a built in, 2-inch display, giving a sharp detailed look straight into what the 1.3 mega-pixel camera is recording. The camera also supports auto-night mode, anti-shake mode, and processes the digital image with minimal noise. The system is controlled by the vehicle’s ignition (connected via the 12v Cigarette Plug), so it can simply be set and forgotten about. All in all, this is the perfect product for any individual, or business running fleets of vehicles, ensuring a crystal clear recollection of any split-second incident.

They have a pretty shitty resolution so goodluck getting a decent image of the numberplate of the offending vehicle.

Ideally you really need 720p or greater at 30fps to get a decent quality video, which rules out most of the cheaper end of the market.

Gives you a good idea of image quality

Ive got a DR500 now, will have to get around to putting footage up from it.

    • Says it does video up to 1280x960 which is higher resolution than 720p(1280x720)… Wouldn't be lower than 30fps would it?

  • Just bought one from Tmart.com for less than $19. The video has several quality setting and its okay but not full HD. Number plates are clearly seen when connected to my laptop. Included battery is pretty useless.
