MobileCiti Cancellation Issue

Been a follower as OZbargain for years, I have to register in the first time to tell everyone this mobilecity is totally posing a false advertisement to draw people's attention.

I placed order for the Razer Blackwidow 2013 Expert Mechanical Gaming Keyboard sales on 20th Nov 13. At the time of checking out, obviously suffered from stuck and crash of all sorts on my iphone, It ASKED my credit card details and said nothing about back order. It showed I placed a order but the status showing pending since.
Until 2 night later, I had to write a email to this website to ask about, then they replied me by saying 'Thanks for your email. Unfortunately we could not process your order at the moment as your payment didn't go through.'
But usually when you placing an order on the internet, if the card cannot be accepted, it will reject your order.

Now when I called them 3 days later, one of their representative, Jay Feng, saying the payment didn't go through, and it would be my responsibility to make sure payment is successful. Okay, but there is no clue about my credit card is not working either in your website or at the time of placing the order. and he added also there is no stock available so even I pay now, they cannot supply this stock.

I totally understand this is very limited stock for this sale. but If you don't have enough stock,I should have been rejected in the first place not until after you taking my credit card details and found there is no stock, and do not cancel the order or phone or email my about the situation.

I strongly recommend ozbargain website should ban this website, at least fore a while and ozbargainers should be extremely careful with this so called serving Australia 13 years dumb astroturfing company. They can accept your credit card details and payments even they are knowing no stock.

Somehow, I got another email this morning, I post it over.

For your order, the item was ordered when the item is out stock, so your order is on back ordered. Then the payment didn't not went through as well.

We currently don't have stock to fulfill your order in this case, even if we can organize payment.

However, we are not still trying to source more stock. If we can, we will contact you for payment and get the ordered sorted, if we can't, we would have no option but to cancel this order.

Obviously, they are making things up.
In the first place, there is nothing or whatsoever mentioned BACK ORDER when the order placed,
there is nothing or whatsoever mentioned something wrong with my payment.
after the order placed, it even gave me their 110 points.
no matter how, it seems to me a VALID transaction.

the keyboard even i pay full is about $110, it was for this unacceptable conducts to promote their business.
and from second email, they are saying as a company has a customer's credit card details and they would just took order first and found out they did not have the stock, then blamed customer for unsuccessful payment.

    If its in Back Order, Happens all the time with other online store…
    Site quantities aren't really accurate.

  • things like this happen on ozb every now and then, except that sometimes, they take payment and then need to refund it later. I don't know why you are getting so worked up over this. This is ozb, more sales will come, and you'll have other things to buy that you previous didnt know that you needed.

    unless you told all your friends, boasting about how you got product x for so cheap, then just let it go

  • i totally understand what you guys are saying. I am in a business, we run special sales from time to time.If i did not get a special, it is alright because of so many factors.

    thing is there was nothing mentioned about i was placing a back order.
    and not a single word mention on it, and when i called them they can simply change words saying it was my payment problem, so they cannot proceed.

    It took me 30 minutes to create an account to put through an order and so I assume you would've gone through the same, especially working/crashing on your phone.

    It's reasonable to assume that even though you had the item in your cart, it would've been bought by other people in the time you were trying to make your account and their site didn't have a proper system in place to prevent orders from going through when this occurred.

    They said your payment was unsuccessful, so did you get charged the $110 or not? If not, then move on and wait for the next sale (from a different site.) If they did, then make sure they refund you and then move on. It's not the end of the world and DEFINITELY not a reason to ban an entire business from Ozbargain. Unless other people chime in with the same problems then I'll leave my torch and pitchfork safely stowed away.

      My order was cancelled as well unfortunately.

      I went through the painful check out process too. My item disappeared in my cart every time when it was failed to check out. I added the item back to my cart to process. The last time I added to the cart, my item was not on back order and my payment had gone through as I received their confirmation payment approval email afterwards.

      It is possible that other people completed the payment before I did purchasing the same item, but I do think this sale is a bit fishy.

    they have bulk cancelled orders(after being on back order) and re added them to there website… how can a company do this and still be able to post on here.

    Until they rectify the situation, they should be banned. What's the point of giving them any traffic when they will not honor their orders.

    Please complain this issue to ACCC (1300 302 502). I've already called them this morning to highlight the issue. ACCC logged the issue and said that investigation will proceed if there are enough of the same complains.

    Just to illustrate what a lie they are. They sent me an email stating that they didn't have stock, while listing that they have 28 stocks on ebay at full price.

    This is just downright disgusting how online shopping is in Australia.

  • I don't like their service much either. Last time I had to email them continuously about my phone and they didn't reply until 3 weeks later. Totally horrible customer service. Very often my queries are totally ignored (about a product already purchased, etc)

  • My order has also been cancelled. I have received the confirmation of Payment Approved emailed on 20 Nov.

    I ordered Razer DeathAdder Black Edition, it WAS NOT on back order !!!

    • It wouldn't matter even if it was on back order, if they accept the order, then they are obligated to fill the order.

        If it was on back order, I wouldn't even bother to go through the painful check out process for more than 30 minutes.

  • Just got the same email about my order not being fulfilled and I was one of the people that made sure it wasn't on back order as well. Hopefully refund lands soon, but still not happy after reading I'm not the only one who experienced this.

    I am sorry for not able to fulfill your order.

    our system was designed to allow backorder to be place through when the stock quantity is below 1, the system will alert "this product is not available in the required quantity. 1 of the items will be backordered" before checkout. Your order was placed when stock quantity below 1, and payment process not been completed.

    When you contact our office and speak to Jay, he was try to add your order into backorder list, after he found out your order time was placed on 20/11/2013 2:28:17PM, which is more than 20 hours after the "Frenzy Deal" start, most Razer product was already sold out, and still have lot customer's backorder was before you try to place your order time, that why Jay told you he could accept your backorder, we have try to fulfill the earlier order first.

    We will definitely improve our system to avoid similar issue happen again, also working extra hard to get great deals place on Ozbargain soon! Apologise for the all the inconvenience.

    • The system didn't alert anyone that the item was on backorder. My order originally said "processing" for one day and then changed to "backorder"

      When I contacted the office to see what was happening, the representative (female, not Jay) said nothing about my order being a backorder, just said I'd be getting an "update" in the next day or so.

      I hope they ban you from Ozbargain until you fix your shoddy systems.

  • Ozbargain needs a banner that pops up when deals are upvoted more then 100 times in 1-4 hours to say there may be processing errors, these forum posts come up once a fortnight.

    Ordered a Note 3 s-view cover…..no news to date.

    Rang them and apparently the covers are defective so they have to cancel orders.

    If you ordered one and havent got any news, then ring to cancel, cos you aint getting it

    • Just checked their website, they selling at $49.95…so obviously no defects…they just didnt want to sell at the discounted price
