Hi,
Currently signing up to RACV roadside assistance.
First year there is a establishment fee for roadside care the product I want.
However there is no establishment fee for Extra care, Extra Care being the better service of the two.
At price comparison first year Roadside: $147.00 & Extra Care: $153.00
Ongoing Roadside: $95.00 & Extra Care: $153.00.
Anyone know if you can downgrade after year one without incurring the establishment fee if i opt for Extra Care in the first year?
Thanks
Not sure about RACV but I have the top cover it costs me $200 a year, but the benefits justify the price.
It covers 2 cars ie a car I nominate and any car I'm either a driver or passenger in. (I nominate my wifes car and my car is covered as I drive it 99% of the time.
I have managed to save a few friends, ie when their car has broken down, I've driven out there and we've called the RAC for a tow.
We have kids so the thought of the wife and kids been stranded for any extra time isn't worth the small savings
Food for thought, it doesn't answer your question, but sometimes it pays not to be penny wise and pound foolish
