hey guys, need some advices. should i get a 3+ silver or 3 black?
also are there any deals on gopros lately? missed the hero 3 black deal from dicksmith couple months back

If you are no using it a lot I recommend the sony action cam . I have one from Optus deal it was ~$120 if you sold the phone (not sure if its still available) many ozbargainers offer the cam for sell. The cam is great happy with the quality outdoor with strong light. The only problem for me the shap go pro look better.

I'm after a Hero 3 Black mainly for the high FPS for slow motion recording. Time lapsing would be cool too. Other than that, it isn't going to get much use as an action cam, but I think it'll be good to have for when I do some random crazy things here and there. Plus it'll be a tax expense.
I don't want to spend more than $375, and I'm finding it really hard to find them at that price, even second hand. I missed the $350 DSE deal.
I found the 3 for $390 (Torpedo7) and the 3+ for $459 (Kogan). I just bought the 3, and used Panda Cash Back which claims to offer 10% back at Torpedo7, but we'll see if that actually happens.

so when you mean they put the money in your panda account, is it linked to your card?

GoPro is a bit like Apple. They don't need to discount because it Is the standard that everyone goes for, especially in the run up to Christmas. The DSE deal was probably running out the 3 models preparing for the 3+ models.
I've got a GoPro 3 white and it does a pretty good job for me. Ok so it doesn't have the super frame rates of the black but it provides great footage at a much reduced price without chewing up your memory card as fast as well. Unless you are wanting to be a movie producer the lower spec models will be fine for recording your antics and uploading to facetube or whatever.
Edit: just saw Torpedo7 have 3 black for $390, not plus.

i won't use it for any extreme sports, mainly for daily recording for my holiday trip.
i've a 60d for photography, but often i found it doesn't come handy. The gopro is so small i can just bring it with me all the time.
In my case, is it worth getting a black or just go for the white? what's the main differences? FPS? aperture? etc?

willAFAIK, the black has higher resolution (4K video) and higher FPS. It also comes with the wifi remote. Although the Silver 3+ has wifi, and you can use your phone as a remote.
I an hoping for the ebay group buy deal to come back. Gopro black + for 369..
Other than that I cant really afford it :(

From what I have seen the black costs a lot more than the silver and I have a standard Hero3 silver and it films very high quality anyway. Unless you are serious about getting great footage I wouldn't think the black is worth it as you can still get great stuff from the silver! Depends what you plan to use it for really.
