Hi all. I'm in the market for a new mesh chair. I'm happy to spend around $500. My brother has owned a Milan Direct (Ergonomic 2020) chair for a while and I do like the model . Actually leaning towards buying one myself. However, thought I'd ask on OzBargain for other options in this price range?
Anyone own or have experience with quality mesh chairs?

I sit in a Mirra at work and find it pretty comfortable. I think they are getting up around $1000 new, but much less second hand (ebay says under $500). I rate them as comfortable as the Aeron. In a whole office with 100+ chairs now about 7 years old there have only been a handful of broken ones.
Might be worth considering?
I've got a lower specced from Milan (http://www.milandirect.com.au/office-furniture/office-chairs…). Still using it today and I bought it probably 5-6 years ago so it hasn't fallen apart yet.
It is aging though:
- the seat cushioning is now basically non-existent/flattened
- armrests are loose despite how much I try to tighten the bolts
- gas lift sags after I sit on it for a few hours (this probably happens to most chairs)
The one you link seems to have a mesh bottom (mine is only mesh for the backrest) so that's one problem eliminated I think!
Overall I would buy again if I were in the market for a mesh chair, however I think I'm gonna stick with leather chairs in the future.

@jzdhgkd: Yeah you raise some familiar points. The 1st and 3rd aging points you list are exactly what I'm facing with my current chair and it's becoming an annoyance. Especially the flattened seat cushion. I've been placing spare cushions on top of the seat but those have flattened too and I'm sure it's not great for my back. Hence, I'm opting for a mesh bottom.
