Ahh there apart of me that wants to get a XBOX ONE tonight at midnight, as i tried all the major retailers all ps4 preorders are gone until what i been told later FEB 2014.!!?!?
So I thinking i might aswell get an ONE and be done with it, but all the dudes in all the retailers tell me dont be stupid and be patient.

lol I didn't realise others out there thought the same way… Nintendo have unique games only available on their platform, while most of the games I'd play on the other consoles are or become available on PC and are the better version with more mods etc available…
I still haven't bought a Wii U, I'll wait for another big price drop I think.
yeah i know, i just have a habit of impulse buying new release devices. maybe i wait till xmas comes there maybe some wii u with SM3DW bundles.
Be patient, don't buy a console just because you couldn't get the other one. There's really nothing on either console that's what I'd call a 'must play.'

This is why everyone mocked the PS3 at release. Coz it had no games. Now it has some of the most impressive exclusives in the industry. Wait 6 months. It'll be cheaper and might come in a bundle with an actually decent game (I mean FIFA? Seriously?)

What makes you think that? There's no shortage of Xbox Ones, even on launch day. You definitely won't make anything close to what you paid back.
Yeah I figured I'll buy an xbone (was a 360er last gen), if ps4 starts pulling really far ahead, I can just sell it and pay whatever hundred dollar difference it might cost to get a ps4. THE JOYS OF NOT BEING A POOR UNI STUDENT ANYMORE.
I am psyched for dead rising 3 though, seems to be the highest raited launch title on both consoles.
I'd recommend holding back. Firstly, there's the chance of manufacturing gremlins that might appear in the first bunch. Then there's the niggling issues with first day servers and lag. Then there's the point of the Xmas sales coming soon. Even still, I'd wait until some sort of good bundle or a 'slim' version comes out with some decent upgrades and a price drop.
Trust me, there is going to be absolutely no problems getting either a PS4 OR XBone between now and next year. Now that reviews are out on both the consoles and games, have a read and be thankful that you didn't purchase on launch day :)
Wait for the PS4 turbo, you'll regret your impulse buy once you see PS4 available.
Just got an e-mail from EB with a day one 2013 t-shirt for my avatar, because i went to the midnight launch.
For me personally, I'd actually go for a Wii U (and of course a PC)…unless you absolutely must have any of those exclusives on either console.
Choose based on what games you want to play, and I guess the friends you wanna play with (unless you don't want to play with friends/have no friends).
