Can anyone tell me when Woolies and Coles markdown their meats/diary/vegetables?

it aint like that. with the fruit and veg for example a product set to expire on the 20th would be marked down by 20% on the evening of the 18th, then 40% around midday on the 19th, and then 60% around 4pm that day. if it still doesn't sell it could be marked down more even 70-80% later on.
not 100% sure on the dairy and meat schedules but it would be similar to the fruit and veg.
Similar with meat, dairy seems to be more aggressive. I got a 2L Moove the other day at 50% off with 3 days remaining from Woolies.
Where I live there are a lot of vegetarians, but the nearest Woolies, 50km away is a really 'red meat' sort of neighbourhood.
When our Woolies opened they must have based early orders on the levels down the road, because I had 50% off meat for months until they got their stock levels under better control.
Meat doesn't loose nutrients when close to use by date, fruit and veges do and are probably false economy.
varies due to supply schedules and use by dates/shelf life
