AirAsia 200 Points BONUS and FREE BIG Loyalty Membership (No Credit Card Signup/Required)

80

Here's the link:
https://www.tune2big.com/web/guest/virtual-verification?p_p_…

Provided the screenshot of the deal as of today 18th November 2013 18:30 as well because the link does not specifically say FREE 200 points BONUS.

Hurry up and sign up! I did it on the early morning of today but haven't credited the points yet. Spare 5-10 minutes before you log in as member after sign-up coz it failed when I tried to do so immediately. Would like to hear others' experiences as well.

  • I don't understand this . isn't it just for a Visa card more suited if you live in Malaysia?

    • AA has changed the BIG membership rules last year… "no Malaysia exclusivity" anymore (anyone can sign up anywhere I guess), fee waived, not tied to any card and now BONUS 200 points.

If I'm flying with my GF does she have to get a separate membership or I can use mine for buying tickets and collecting points for 2 people?

    • Separate cards.

What does 200 BIG points get me?

  • Annual fee is 5RM per year after this?

  • I don't know how credible it is but rumour has it one should refrain from buying AA tickets in Nov 2013 or some extreme advice to cancel their November booking as AA is going on massive sale between dec - feb and double bonus points (don't know exactly when will be advertised, for which period of flight, routes, etc.)

I know some people buy into the gossip and cancel their 199,- from various cities (SYD, MEL, ADL) to KUL and as for me I refrain from booking this november. Fingers crossed.

Sounds like a load of Codswallop to me. They just had their lowest fares in a sale since launch to Australia.

Although I would love to join (because I just booked a whole bunch of AA tickets), I won't. I hate the fact that they ask for my Passport Number to sign up. WHY??

    • -1

ah cmon, did you not provide your passport number to AA when you flight with them? BIG is 100% owned by AA, it is the way to verify your ID, thats all

      • +2

Yes I did provide it when I purchased the tickets.

        But

Why is it that Airlines' like Emirates, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas etc etc don't ask for my passport details when I signed up to their loyalty programs, but AA does?

        I don't like it.

      • Big is a trading brand of Tune Money, an associate of AirAsia. They both have common ownership (part of Tune Group) but AirAsia does not own Tune Money. It's different. AirAsia is a publicly listed company of which Tune Group is a main shareholder. Tune Group itself is a privately owned company, so is Tune Money.

aaahh, you got me! took me a while before i figured out i could not click the air asia banner in your screenshot

  • doesn't like special character in passport field… there are only digits :/

  • What does 200 "big points' mean? Are they like Qantas status points or do they represent some sort of points we would need to get free flights? EG. 150 Big Points for return MEL-LHR ticket?

    Regards
    Daniel

    • according to their site 500 = flight to singapore (assuming from kl since its aa).
and its 1 point / 2 MYR so a 200$ (AUD converted) flight will get u about 300 points.

  • I wonder if I can close my account and then re-open it?? My account is zero, I just booked a heap of flights but still need to claim the points…. spewing to miss these 200!

  • didnt get the points after i signed up..
