Apple have truck loads of cash, their biggest problem is working out what to do with it.

Note that most of Microsoft's acquisitions have gone into software and internet-based firms while Apple has a fairly diverse mix of acquisitions ranging from gesture control, mapping, codec/compression algorithm tech, and other kinds of web-apps.
