Went to my local Rivers outlet and they had all mens dress shoes (anything with MDRES in the code) for $28. The online shop seems to have the same deal (see link).

I wasn't aware that this offer was (back?) on. Nil x email from Rivers which is odd.
I picked up a pair back in February, though the range appears to be slightly different this time.

I saw the original offer but this was a little different as it covers any mens dress shoes.
I grabbed a pair of the dress shoes that were on sale last time. They are going strong and are very comfortable. Very happy with them.
Does anyone know if all their adult dress shoes leather? Reading the technical info, they talk about leather shoes. I ordered some kids ones back when they were on special and the school shoes turned out not to be leather. But for $10 it was OK.
If the shoe has leather uppers then it is normally stated in the description. If it's not in the online description then you can generally assume that it has synthetic uppers. If you're in-store, you can also look at the tongue of the shoe which should state this info, and occasionally there will be a sticker on the sole of the shoe with this info also.
Most of the Rivers dress shoes that I have had a look at usually have synthetic uppers and synthetic/leather lining. To be honest, at the price that they're are selling these shoes, you can't really expect much more. :)
The $28 ones back in February were all of leather (upper). I'm assuming that Rivers use these sales to clear end-of-line items…
