Looking to import a 3DS XL or (LL in JAPAN) it for a relative that want to play games that are only in Japanese.
want to know perhaps anyone got a Standard 3DS XL in the box and would know the weight? so I can calculate the postage from Japan to Australia.

You can get them off play-asia as well. Yesasia has a lot more selection in colours though.

Note that if you buy a Japanese LL (which is what they call the XL), you will need to buy an Australian 3DS power cord from somewhere (the 3DS one works for all). Japan does not give you a power cord with the 3DS models, so just buying an adaptor will not suffice. I usually see the cables for 10-15 bucks just fyi, can prob get unofficial for cheaper.
i was looking at the yodabashi site they have them for 18900Yen ($201approx)and i will have one of my friends post it for me.
just need to figure out the actual weight of the package
I have the 3DS XL and box but lack scales of any kind. ours will however be heavier, since we have the charger included.

i was reading something about that Japanpost wont allow any form of batteries to be exported, so this may mean internal batteries too…
