Pity its VB - $14 off the slab of your choice would have been great.

  • So just the Woolies docket is needed?

    • Is VB really worth a dumpster dive?

      • +1

That is usually where you find it …

  • dont wanna beer bash, but that stuff is absolute muck !

  • +3

Don't bother spending $100, just look for a discarded receipt over $100.

  • VB is real beer. Puts hairs on your chest. Go back to drinking your Pure Blondes and Extra Drys, ladies.

Real men dont give a damn what others think of their drink

    • lol
real women don't give a stuff about what beer makes you a real man

$30 should be its everyday price.

You save a bit over 6 bucks, not really a deal at all. Shop at ALDI.

    • +5

How is saving over $6 not a deal?

      • -2

Because what you're saving at woolworths, you're losing at ALDI.

please tell me where you can get a case of VB for $36 everyday

        • -2

The very same Dan Murphys that woolworths own, without needing to spend $100 bucks in one transaction loyally at their supermarket.

        • +1

Rubbish. A case of VB is $44 at Dan's.

As I said, pull up a catalogue of first choice and price match the 37 they would be selling it for. It could be less than that, I haven't checked. I know it's difficult, but I'm sure as a dedicated bargain hunter - you can manage such a task.

Or just wait until next week when Dans are selling it for 36.70 again.

you've been on ozbargain for a while so you should have a fair idea what is and isn't a bargain by now.

please tell us then how cheap this should be in order to be considered a bargain?

      • -1

It's certainly not a bargain by normal means, you're committing 100 bucks without thinking in one transaction at their supermarket - when I can guarantee you'll find a cheaper solution by mix-matching the two supermarket giants, and buying a case of VB (if you really want VB, try the storm full-strength at ALDI) at Dan Murphys or First Choice. At either place, just check the opposing online catalogue and you're guaranteed to get VB for 36-37.

some people do actually spend more than $100 when doing their weekly grocery shopping. doubt most people would throw down $100 just get a case of VB for $30. likewise, spending > $100 to get 15c/L fuel discount.

same with the "save $x off orders of $y or more" woolworths online voucher codes that have been heaps popular lately. no one in their right mind finds things to buy to make up the minimum amount to get the discount.

my situation doesn't involve spending $100 on groceries or even shopping much at woolies. even hate VB lol. but still doesn't make this any less of a bargain.

and going to aldi is all well and good unless you live in a state where they haven't set up shop yet :\

I'm surprised you don't see blatant loss-leading when it's advertised directly in front of you.
