      I haven't had any experience with other set top boxes but this has been really good. Got two; looking for a reason to buy another at this price.

      USB works perfectly with up to 32 GB sticks, maybe higher I haven't tried. Also works with portable hard drives up to 1 TB, again maybe higher.

        can it record over 1 hour of HD TV? the one i got from aldi 2 years ago cannot go past the 2GB file size.

      got one, remote died. has no external buttons, so is now useless unless I can get a new remote or universal.
      worked really well until remote died.
      edit: I have model KASTBXXHDTAA, this bargain is for model KASTBXXHDTBA which appears to differ only by having component outputs on the back. Remote is same, as is user manual.

        1080i 50Hz can be deinterlaced to 1080p 25p by your TV.

      is this for a tv or computer monitor? tv should have it and for pc you may be better off getting a usb antenna so you can record to your hard drive.

        I have one. It can do this, although support is pretty limited. Most files I've tried won't work, unsupported resolution usually, sometimes codec unsupported. I purely use mine as a tuner with an LCD monitor, and rarely record.

    You can easily programme future recording, right?
    There were some comments in the reviews that suggested some were having trouble doing this.
