We're a week away from the launch of the next generation of consoles and I haven't heard a peep from retailers as to what sort of bundles they'll be doing at launch. Has anyone heard anything at all? Surely JB will be offering something at launch..

Just to give an alternate view on the $200 bundle - BIGW is selling stuff cheap, so it's $68 for game, $58 for controller, can get 12 mths for $55 online = $181. Not the best of deals.
Yeah originally the EB 12 month card was the bonus day one edition, but they have since ran out. So yeah, not really worth it at all anymore.

If only GAME was still around here, they were usually pretty good with offering a couple of bundles.

I've only seen it in store. Same with the PS4 game discounts with console purchase.
Hmm, it used to be where the giant "Lock in your launch games" thing was on the pre order eb games page. Also was advertised in store. It was there a few days ago, it's not anymore. (I found the URL, it just reloads the xbox page, so they may have pulled it).

Not entirely sure its the full KI character unlock now, everyone on the net seems a bit unsure, I thought it was for some reason. (Might just be the 1 special exclusive character).

Note the the 1 yr xbox one xbox live packs are a rip off.
U can use the heaper xbox 360 packs.
If the x1 console wont accept it then start a x360 account, credit it and use the account on x1.Im always amused wen eb games the x1 xbox live packs as a bargain wen they know full well theyre not.

Saw this in one of the links above. I think I'll go for this one as it works out at $70 for each which isn't too bad. I don't really need more LIVE time at the moment either..
Might use my current account balance to buy Ryse and Forza.. so that will be six games for me at launch all up (Freefa, Killer Instinct and AC4 already sorted). Fun times await!
Heard really bad things about Ryse, might want to grab Forza and wait for the review embargo to lift on Ryse. IGN Pubcast slated it, said it was ridiculous.
IGN pubcast is dreadful though compared to unlocked/beyond
I've played Ryse and Dead Rising, both were a bit repetitive, Ryse looked very pretty though. Noting I didn't play either for more than 10min and they were demos, likely with stuff missing (like dead rising had zero story in the demo).
Oh really.. Ok maybe I won't get Ryse straight away. I've got bf4 on pc and Ghosts has been getting very ordinary reviews, so there's not much else left for the launch is there? Anyone else keen on any games we haven't mentioned?
Also just read the gameinformer and joystick reviews, not good.

I think PS4 is getting more love here. I am predicting serious shift in market share this generation.
I agree but the PS4 launch isn't anything special either. I'd say the One has the stronger line up in Forza and Dead Rising.
Zoo tycoon and ryse are the 2 games I want an xbox one for. I'll wait till next year though
They probably don't want competitors to match their "bundles" because then they would have to pricematch/pricebeat them.
Last time I went to an EB console launch they were matching lots of different bundles, you pretty much just mentioned the store and they knew the deal and processed it all quickly. With these limited 'day one' editions it could be different though
Note EB is still selling the 199 forza deal thing, still signs all over my local store for it.
Thanks RI4V4N but at $68 + $58 ($126) for game + controller, I think I'll be going with Big W prices. The bonus you get for the Xbox One XBL isn't really worth the bundle deal.
Indeed, though you may wish to consider that the big w games do not seem to be day 1 editions (so lack a few items of dlc) as well, and you can pay 10 dollars more for the LTD ed of forza (if ur a big forza fan).

Well EB Ringwood didn't match The Good Guys. Apparently Fifa 14, an achievement and a bit of text on a controller is worth $32 to them.

To me, FIFA is worth 0, but to others its prob worth something.

I've only seen the Fifa ones so far and EB has told me they are out of stock of them now.
EB have the deal for 200 with the extra controller + forza + 12 month xbox live card though,(I think the card comes with a full season 1 roster unlock of killer instinct if you want to factor that in too, I think thats worth about 20 dollars?) Not entirely sure it comes out being a lot cheaper either way.
